IF YOU GO DOWN to Colliers Wood on Sunday 7th December, Santa has confirmed that he and his helpers will be joining this year’s celebration for National Tree Dressing. From 10.00am until 1.00pm, Santa will be collecting children’s wishes just in time for this year’s Christmas deliveries.

Families are invited to get into the Christmas spirit at a special Winter Wonderland event in Moorgreen to celebrate National Tree Week. The Friends of Colliers Wood welcome visitors of all ages to help dress the forest’s chosen Christmas pine tree.
Santa will also be present in his grotto with presents for the children or they can enjoy a special children’s Woodland Workshop.

A host of craft stalls will also be on offer, as well as a doggy dip, chocolate tombola and season refreshments provided by Spudtastic.

The Friends of Colliers Wood will supply some decorations or visitors may wish to use their own.

Colliers Wood is an award winning Green Flag Country Park that focuses on community activities and improving the environment for the local community.

First mounted in 1975, National Tree Week is UK’s largest tree celebration annually launching the start of the winter tree planting season. National Tree Week is from 29th November to 7th December and is a great chance for communities to do something positive for their local treescape.
