EASTWOOD will travel back in time this weekend as it celebrates all things vintage, as part of the annual D.H. Lawrence Festival’s opening weekend.

The free event, on Saturday 6th September from 11.00am until 4.00pm includes a packed programme of vintage crafts to buy and make, classic cars,  entertainment and more all at the D.H. Lawrence Heritage Centre on Mansfield Road, Eastwood.

Visitors will also be transported back to the 1930s and 40s with live performances from The Festival Swing Dance Society, singer Jazz and Cocktails and the Nottingham Collegiate Shag.

As part of the celebrations D.H. Lawrence Heritage will also be hosting a Vintage Adult ‘Try-It’ Craft Session between 11.00am – 1.00pm giving visitors a chance to make their own little piece of vintage by making bunting and the art of decoupage.

Afternoon teas will be available from the D.H. Lawrence Bistro on the day.

Bus tours, reading groups, lectures and open days are just some of the activities that visitors can enjoy at this year’s D.H. Lawrence Festival between Friday 5th September and Thursday 25th September.
